The only form of law found on Tython are the remnants of a royal family that was once enslaved by the Infinite Empire. The Teta royal line are a race of humans from a planet known as Koros Major, and were a significant factor in the survival of most of the remaining inhabitants on Tython due to their natural leadership abilities. This leadership enabled groups of estranged aliens to work together for common defense and productivity. Most of the Teta were well educated and versed in ethical standards seemingly lost to everyone else. They used their wisdom to start colonies around the globe. When the Infinite Empire fell, the other slaves from Koros Major sought out their Monarchs. This display of trust made it natural for others to follow along. In most of the fledgling towns and cities, the Teta royals established basic law enforcement headed by a sheriff who ran under a mayor. Over the last few years however, the rise of gangs and cults have cost the Teta royal line dearly. Although cities maintain a level of civility many are falling to heavy lawlessness with the Teta family either in hiding or dead.
